HCA Virginia names CEO for 2 hospitals: 4 notes

HCA Virginia selected William Lunn, MD, to serve as CEO of Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis Hospital. Both hospitals are in Richmond, Va.

Four notes:

1. Dr. Lunn most recently served as president and CEO of Tulane Health System in New Orleans.

2. He previously worked at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine and was a founding member and the first director of its Complex Airway and Pleural Disease Center.

3. A pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist, he has won several awards during his career, including the American College of Chest Physicians’ Young Investigator Award.

4. Dr. Lunn succeeds Greg Lowe, who was named president of the newly created Asheville-based HCA North Carolina Division.
