Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health, recently named Joseph Reuben, MD, chief medical officer.
He most recently served as CMO of Menorah Medical Center, another HCA Midwest Health hospital in Overland Park, Kan., according to a May 12 news release shared with Becker’s. He assumed the new position May 4.
The medical center is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, which operates about 190 hospitals and 2,600 ambulatory care facilities. Dr. Reuben has served in numerous system-wide roles, including chair of the EMTALA [Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act] Task Force.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Reuben to Overland Park Regional Medical Center and are confident that his experience and collaborative leadership approach will further strengthen our medical staff,” the hospital’s CEO, Matt Sogard, said in the release. “Under his leadership as chief medical officer, we look forward to continuing to advance the exceptional care we provide to our patients while building on our leading programs such as cardiovascular care, women’s health and emergency services.”
