Overland Park, Kan.-based HCA Midwest Health selected Kimberly Megow, MD, to serve as CMO.
Dr. Megow most recently served as CMO of HCA's Corpus Christi (Texas) Medical Center. She previously served as chief medical information officer and later as CMO at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. A pediatric physician, she ran a solo, private pediatric practice in Valdosta for 17 years.
Dr. Megow is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition to her medical training, she holds an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst in Amherst, Mass.
Dr. Megow succeeds Dr. Darryl Nelson, who is transitioning into the CMO role at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo.
