HCA Healthcare’s Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas has named Karen Ambrose its new COO.
Ms. Ambrose joined the hospital from HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Centennial Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., where she served as vice president of operations, according to a July 23 hospital news release shared with Becker’s. During her tenure, she led the hospital’s OB emergency room expansion from seven to 10 beds and initiated its upcoming $55 million hospital transformation.
Her previous roles within Nashville-based HCA Healthcare also included execution director for HCA Corporate’s Clinical Services Group and senior project manager for strategy and innovation at Parallon, the primary revenue cycle and administrative support platform for HCA. Before joining the system, she held leadership roles at Ascension St. Thomas Health System in Nashville.
Sunrise Children’s Hospital is Nevada’s first children’s hospital and the largest and most comprehensive children’s hospital in the state, the release said.
