TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, has named Ben Rawcliffe, MSN, RN, as chief nursing officer.
Mr. Rawcliffe joins the 136-bed hospital from HCA Healthcare’s Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he served as assistant chief nursing officer. He previously held roles there as director of critical care and interim director of cardiovascular services, according to a June 10 news release shared with Becker’s.
In the assistant CNO role, Mr. Rawcliffe oversaw nursing and patient care services across emergency services, critical care, women’s services, behavioral health and rehabilitation. His tenure included improvements to patient experience scores, reductions in nursing turnover and contributions to the Nashville hospital’s Leapfrog Grade A recognition.
Before his nursing career, Mr. Rawcliffe served as a combat medic with the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky.
In his new role, he will oversee all nursing operations at TriStar Southern Hills, working with clinical leaders to advance quality outcomes and patient experience.
