Dr. MacIntyre has more than 20 years of experience as an acute care and trauma surgeon, HCA said in a LinkedIn post. After the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, which killed 60 people and injured hundreds more, he and his team “prioritized bed-flow process and use of intensive care units for 124 gunshot wounds,” the post said.
The staff at HCA Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas performed 83 surgeries after the event, including 58 surgeries within the first 24 hours.
