HCA Florida hospital promotes leader to COO

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital has promoted Matt Juttelstad to chief operating officer. 

Mr. Juttelstad steps into his new role after serving as the hospital’s vice president of operations since December 2024, according to a post on the Trinity, Fla.-based hospital’s LinkedIn page.    

During his time at Trinity Hospital, he has provided executive leadership for several departments, including diagnostic imaging, cardiac cath lab, laboratory, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, facilities, oncology and wound care, according to the post. He also oversaw multiple construction projects, including a new freestanding emergency room and upgrades to nuclear medicine, computerized tomography, cath lab and interventional radiology imaging suites.

Mr. Juttelstad joined Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare in 2021 as a physical therapist at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. 

Trinity Hospital is a 278-bed facility serving Florida’s Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, according to its website
