HCA Florida hospital names CEO

Mark Amox was named CEO of HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Fla.

Mr. Amox most recently served as COO of HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville for the past two and a half years, according to an Aug. 10 hospital news release shared with Becker’s.

During his tenure, he helped launch HCA Florida Healthcare’s first transplant and cell therapy program and served as facility lead for the construction and opening of HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital.

Mr. Amox previously served as president and CEO of Unity Health in Searcy, Ark. He also served as hospital administrator for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital and UF Health Shands Rehab Hospital in Gainesville.
