Ben Brown was named CEO of StoneSprings Hospital Center in Sterling, Va., effective Oct. 19.

Mr. Brown was the hospital’s COO from 2014 to 2018 and helped lead its construction and opening, according to an Oct. 2 news release.

He most recently served as regional vice president of behavioral health for HCA Healthcare’s Capital and North Carolina divisions, overseeing strategy and operations across inpatient and outpatient programs, the release said. He previously was CEO of Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, Va., which HCA sold in September to Hill Valley Healthcare, and COO of Reston (Va.) Hospital Center.

Mr. Brown succeeds Tammy Razmic, who stepped down in August to focus on personal and family priorities. Chief Nursing Officer Becki Lawhorne, MSN, RN, has served as interim CEO since.

StoneSprings Hospital Center is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
