1. Dr. Jeter has worked at the medical center since 1996.
2. Prior to serving as CEO, he was vice president for medical services.
3. During his tenure, the medical center established the DeBakey Heart Institute and partnered with Kansas City-based The University of Kansas Hospital.
4. Dr. Jeter is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and previously served as the chairperson of the Kansas Hospital Association.
5. The hospital’s board of directors plan on naming a successor late this year.
