Hartford HealthCare appoints Jeffrey Flaks CEO: 4 notes

Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare has selected Jeffrey A. Flaks to serve as president and CEO, effective Sept. 1.

Four notes:

1. Mr. Flaks is currently president and COO of the health system.

2. He joined Hartford HealthCare 15 years ago.

3. During his time with the health system, he has served as COO of MidState Medical Center in Meriden, Conn., and president and CEO of Hartford Hospital.

4. Mr. Flaks succeeds Elliot Joseph, who has served as the organization’s top leader since 2013.
