Here are three things to know about Mr. Kay.
1. He has more than three decades of project management, operations and business development experience in the building industry.
2. Most recently, he was the managing principal of Houston-based Jacobs Engineering’s national healthcare practice.
3. In his new role, he succeeds Richard Galling, who has served as president and COO since 2003. Mr. Galling will remain on Hammes Co.’s board and consult on strategic initiatives. He will also continue in his role as a member of the Hammes affiliate private equity fund investment committee.
