According to the report, a search committee previously interviewed applicants for a permanent CEO, but the committee ultimately recommended hiring Mr. Sims for the role.
Mr. Sims has more than 30 years of senior management experience. Prior to joining Hamilton Memorial Hospital District, he served as executive director and vice president of Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, Ill., for six years. Mr. Sims also served as CEO of Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
