Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital CEO to resign: 4 notes

Michael Youso, president and CEO of Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minn., is resigning April 2, according to a Herald Review report.

Here are four notes:

1. The Report did not address the reason behind Mr. Youso’s departure.

2. Mr. Youso assumed his current role in 2010.

3. During his tenure, Mr. Youso oversaw the addition of the Cancer & Infusion Center and Grand Itasca Pharmacy as well as expanded access to care providers in several specialties, including cardiology and oncology.

4. Jean MacDonell, who is currently vice president of clinic services, will become interim leader of the hospital in April.
