Wisconsin hospital president resigns for new role

Eric Conley, president of the South region for Froedtert ThedaCare Health, the newly combined 18-hospital system in Wisconsin formed by Froedtert Health and ThedaCare, and president of Wauwatosa, Wis.-based Froedtert Hospital, is resigning, effective in mid-April.

Mr. Conley has taken a new role as executive vice president and president of acute and post-acute care at Hampton Roads, Va.-based Sentara Health, according to a March 7 news release.

"We are grateful to Eric for his years of service to the greater-Milwaukee community," Cathy Jacobson, CEO of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, said in the release. "Under his leadership, we led a successful response to COVID-19, worked with community partners to establish a much-needed mental health emergency center and developed strategic efforts to optimize space and create additional capacity when and where needed."

Froedtert ThedaCare Health said Allen Ericson, president of Froedtert West Bend (Wis.) Hospital and president of the Community Hospital Division, will serve as the interim president of the 766-bed Froedtert Hospital. A search is ongoing for the next president for the South region.

Milwaukee-based Froedtert and Neenah, Wis.-based ThedaCare finalized their merger agreement and launched a combined system in January.
