Frankfort Regional Medical Center CEO steps down: 4 notes

Frankfort (Ky.) Regional Medical Center CEO Chip Peal resigned at the end of September, according to The State Journal.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Peal left the role for personal reasons and requested that the hospital not issue a public announcement, an FRMC spokesman told The State Journal.

2. He assumed the top post at the hospital 12 years ago.

3. During his tenure, the hospital completed an $8.4 million renovation to the emergency department and opened a 12-bed inpatient unit for senior behavioral health services.

4. Randy Moresi, former CEO of North Richland Hills, Texas-based Medical City North Hills, has been named interim CEO of FRMC.
