Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System taps a new CEO: 6 notes

Baton Rouge, La.-based Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System appointed Michael J. McBride president and CEO, effective Feb. 19.

Here are six notes:

1. Mr. McBride most recently served as senior vice president and president of suburban hospitals at CHI St. Luke’s Health in Houston.

2. He previously served as president/CEO at St. Mary’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo.

3. He is a fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives and has previously won the Regent’s Award for Early Career.

4. Mr. McBride currently serves as a member of the Texas Hospital Association’s Council on Policy Development. He is also a past board chair for the Colorado Hospital Association.

5. He holds a master of science degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

6. He succeeds John J. Finan Jr. who is retiring.
