Former University of Toledo Medical Center CEO returns

Dan Barbee, BSN, who served as CEO of University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio from 2016 to 2020, will return to the role Nov. 8.

Mr. Barbee succeeds Rick Swaine, who joined the hospital in 2019 as CFO and was named CEO in 2020, according to a Nov. 7 University of Toledo news release.

Mr. Barbee first joined the hospital in 2011 as chief nursing officer and later became vice president of clinical services and COO.

After leaving the CEO role in 2020, he became president of rural markets for Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health, the release said.
