Former PeaceHealth COO takes on interim leadership role at Mercy Medical Center: 4 takeaways

Hartford, Conn.-based Trinity Health-New England selected Elizabeth O’Brien, RN, to lead as interim president of Mercy Medical Center and its affiliates, based in Springfield, Mass., according to a Mass Live report.

1. Ms. O’Brien most recently served as COO for Vancouver, Washington-based PeaceHealth.

2. She has previously served as senior vice president of operations and group executive officer for Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives.

3. Her former roles also include serving as CEO of Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Ala.

4. She succeeds Scott Wolf, DO, who resigned suddenly in March.
