Florida Hospital CEO to take on larger statewide role with Adventist: 5 things to know

Lars Houmann, president and CEO of Orlando-based Florida Hospital, and the Florida Division of the hospital's parent company, Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System, has been promoted within Adventist, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Houmann.

1. Starting Dec. 1, he will be executive vice president of the Florida Division so he can be devoted to it full time.

2. He will no longer manage the Adventist Central Florida Region as CEO.

3. Mr. Houmann's responsibilities of managing the Adventist Central Florida Region as CEO will now be held by Daryl Tol, current CEO of the Adventist's East Florida Region. Rob Fulbright, current administrator at Florida Hospital Orlando, has been promoted to replace Mr. Tol in East Florida.

4. According to the report, Eddie Soler and David Banks, two other executives in the Central Florida market, are also going to move to the Adventist's Florida Division. 

5. The leadership changes are meant to strengthen and grow the Florida Division, hospital spokeswoman Samantha Kearns O'Lenick said, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
