Florida-based Jackson Hospital names C. James Platt as permanent CEO

Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Fla., dropped the ‘interim’ from CEO C. James Platt’s title, effective July 1.

Here are three points:

1. Mr. Platt has been serving as interim CEO of the hospital since February, when Larry Meese retired.

2. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he also previously worked at Fort Madison (Iowa) Community Hospital.

3. During his tenure as interim CEO, he oversaw the opening of the Chipola Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center in Marianna as well as the 9,000-square-foot operating room addition.
