In the newly combined role, Ms. Whalen will report to John Brumsted, MD, CEO of Fletcher Allen Health Care and president and CEO of Fletcher Allen Partners, a four-hospital network serving Vermont and northern New York.
Ms. Whalen comes to Fletcher Allen from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she served as CEO. Before then, she served as executive vice president at University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson.
