Mr. Havel is replacing Eric Slusser, who will stay with the company through the first quarter of next year to ensure a smooth transition.
Mr. Havel has been with Express Scripts since January 2015. Prior to joining Express Scripts, he served as CFO of Major Brands Holdings, a privately held beverage distribution company. He also spent more than 34 years with Ernst & Young.
