EvergreenHealth taps Dr. Amy Beiter as CEO: 6 things to know

Kirkland, Wash.-based EvergreenHealth named Amy E. Beiter, MD, CEO, effective Aug. 22.

Here are six things to know:

1. Dr. Beiter comes to EvergreenHealth from Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., where she served as president and CEO.

2. Previously, she was CMO at Carondelet St. Mary’s.

3. Dr. Beiter is an internal medicine and pediatrics physician, eventually becoming a hospitalist.

4. In addition to her medical degree, she holds an MBA from University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management in Amherst.

5. Dr. Beiter succeeds Bob Malte, who announced plans to retire by the end of the year.

6. Mr. Malte will help ensure a smooth leadership transition, and he will serve in an advisory capacity through March 2019.
