Mr. Wesolowski is president and CEO of San Antonio-based Methodist Healthcare System, which is co-owned in a 50-50 partnership by Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas and Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
Mr. Wesolowski announced his intention to retire in January. However, he has decided to take on the top post at Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas after his permanent successor is named at Methodist Healthcare System. Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ board named Marc Raney, senior vice president of resource development, its interim CEO.
Mr. Wesolowski has served at the helm of Methodist Healthcare System since 2007. He helped navigate the co-owner partnership between HCA Healthcare and Methodist Healthcare Ministries. Additionally, he is chair of the American Cancer Society’s South Texas Area board of directors.
