Erlanger East taps new medical chief

Erlanger Health System, a seven-hospital system based in Chattanooga, Tenn., has named Jason Cox, MD, as chief medical officer of Erlanger East Hospital. 

Dr. Cox has more than two decades of hospital medicine leadership experience, according to an April 9 LinkedIn post from the health system. He has served as medical director for multiple Tennessee health systems and as medical director of Erlanger’s hospitalist group of more than 50 physicians and advanced practice providers.

Erlanger said he has “a track record of growing hospitalist programs, improving care quality, and strengthening the partnership between physicians and nursing teams.”
