Elliot Health System promotes CMO to president: 4 things to know

Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System selected Greg Baxter, MD, to serve as president.

Here are four things to know:

1. Dr. Baxter most recently served as senior vice president of medical affairs and CMO of the health system.

2. He joined Elliot Health in 2003, initially serving as leader of the emergency physician provider group.

3. An emergency medicine physician, he provided care at Worcester-based UMass Memorial Health Care prior to joining Elliot Health.

4. Elliot Health System joined with Nashua, N.H.-based Southern New Hampshire Health to create SolutionHealth earlier this year. The boards of Elliot Health System and SolutionHealth together selected Dr. Baxter to serve in his new role.
