El Paso Children’s Hospital taps Cindy Stout to lead as CEO

El Paso (Texas) Children’s Hospital named Cindy A. Stout, DNP, CEO, effective immediately, according to an El Paso Times report.

Most recently, Ms. Stout served as chief nursing officer at University Medical Center of El Paso. Prior to that, she was CNO at Del Sol Medical Center and chief nursing executive for Las Palmas/Del Sol Healthcare, both based in El Paso.

Ms. Stout served on nursing advisory boards for the University of Texas at El Paso School of Nursing and the Texas Tech University Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing in El Paso, among others. She earned her doctorate degree from Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.

Ms. Stout succeeds Mark Amox, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities after serving as leader of the hospital for around one year.
