Most recently, Mr. Schottland was the principal of Schottland Advisory Services and partner at Carl Marks Advisory Group, where he provided leadership assistance and consulting services concerning healthcare operations, strategic planning and development. He also served as executive vice president and COO of Saint Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island in Providence, according to the report.
Mr. Schottland will replace interim president and COO Arthur DeBlois III, who will return to private business as chair of Vistage International, which provides private advisory groups for executives and business owners.
