ECU Health names new chief medical informatics officer

Greenville, N.C.-based ECU Health has named Richard Medford, MD, as its new chief medical informatics and digital health officer.

Dr. Medford, who joined the health system May 1, will be responsible for developing strategies that can optimize and transform care delivery models and the clinician-patient experience through its EHR, digital tools, advanced technologies, services and processes.

He is the health system’s first chief medical informatics and digital health officer.
