Thomas Quatroche Jr., PhD, CEO of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Erie County Medical Center Corp., has been named the next president and CEO of the Healthcare Association of New York State.
He will join the Healthcare Association of New York State in mid-June, succeeding Bea Grause, RN, JD, who has led the organization since 2016, according to a March 10 news release from the association.
Dr. Quatroche has served as CEO of Erie County Medical Center Corp. since 2016 and was appointed president of the organization in 2015. He has been part of the ECMC organization since 2004, previously serving as senior vice president of marketing, planning and business development.
During his tenure, he has led the public benefit corporation, which operates a 573-bed academic medical center, off-campus health centers, more than 30 outpatient specialty services and the 390-bed Terrace View long-term care facility. The system also serves as Western New York’s only level 1 adult trauma center.
Dr. Quatroche has served on HANYS’ board of trustees since 2016 and chaired the board in 2020, according to the release.
