East Houston Regional Medical Center, a Houston-based Hospital Corporation of America Gulf Coast Division facility, appointed Eric Evans CEO.

1. Mr. Evans was most recently senior vice president of strategic planning for the HCA Gulf Coast Division.

2. He joined HCA in 1996, and has served in numerous leadership roles within the company, including as COO of The Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston.

3. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member of the American Leadership Forum.

4. He holds a master’s degree in health services administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

5. Mr. Evans succeeds Alice Adams, who retired in December 2016.
