Dr. Paari Gopalakrishnan to serve as Kent Hospital’s CMO: 4 points

Providence, R.I.-based Care New England appointed Paari Gopalakrishnan, MD, to the CMO role at Kent Hospital in Warwick, R.I., and the medical director role at Integra Community Care Network, an ACO. He will assume his new roles Nov. 26.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Gopalakrishnan most recently serving as chief of the hospitalist medicine division at Greenville (S.C.) Health System.

2. He also served as clinical assistant professor at University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Greenville.

3. From 2009 to 2015, he was director of the inpatient medical group (hospitalists) at Kent Hospital.

4. Dr. Gopalakrishnan holds an MBA from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.
