Dr. George Ralls is Orlando Regional Medical Center’s new chief quality officer: 3 points

Orlando (Fla.) Health selected George Ralls, MD, to serve as chief quality officer of Orlando Regional Medical Center, effective Aug. 1.

1. Dr. Ralls most recently director of health and public safety within the Orange County Government, Florida.

2. An emergency medicine physician, he previously served as emergency medical services medical director and health services director within Orange County Government, Florida.

3. He spearheaded Florida’s first EMS physician fellowship in 2007, in collaboration with Orlando Health’s graduate medical education team.
