Dr. Kniffin was president of the hospital from 2016 to 2018. He then returned to practice emergency medicine.

Dr. Kniffin now returns to lead the hospital, after the resignation of Seleem Choudhury, DNP, RN. Dr. Choudhury, who became president and COO of the hospital in June, resigned this week amid reports that he plagiarized his weekly staff emails.

Dr. Kniffin will be interim leader of the hospital for the next three months. Sivan Cotel, president of the hospital’s board, told the Addison County Independent that it will need to hire another interim leader in three months as the search for a permanent successor to Dr. Choudhury will likely extend into next year.
