Dr. Eric Beck to serve as UH Ventures president: 4 notes

Cleveland-based University Hospitals named Eric H. Beck, DO, president of UH Ventures, effective Jan. 22.

UH Ventures, launched in 2017, aims to develop new business models leveraging existing UH capabilities.

Here are four notes:

1. Dr. Beck most recently served as president and CEO for the UNT Health clinical enterprise at University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.

2. He also served as an associate professor and emergency medicine department chair at UNT Health Science Center.

3. Dr. Beck previously worked at Envision Healthcare, a healthcare services organization, where he served in a number of roles, including CEO for integrated delivery.

4. In addition to his clinical emergency medicine training, he holds a master’s degree in healthcare management for populations at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
