Dr. Baligh Yehia is Ascension Medical Group’s new CMO: 3 points

St. Louis-based Ascension appointed Baligh Yehia, MD, CMO of Ascension Medical Group, effective immediately.

1. Dr. Yehia previously worked at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine, where he led initiatives to improve community health and clinical integration across the system.

2. He was the first deputy under secretary for health for community care at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

3. Dr. Yehia formerly served on the Center for Medical Interoperability’s board of directors and American College of Physicians’ board of regents.
