Desert Regional Medical Center drops ‘interim’ from CEO Michele Finney’s title: 4 notes

Palm Springs, Calif.-based Desert Regional Medical Center appointed Michele Finney its permanent CEO, effective immediately, according to a News Channel 3 ABC/CBS Local 2 report.

Here are four notes:

1. Ms. Finney served as the medical center’s interim leader since Carolyn Caldwell departed, effective Feb. 24.

2. Ms. Finney is also CEO of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare’s three-hospital desert market, which includes Desert Regional Medical Center. She will continue in this role.

3. She previously served as CEO of the six-hospital Abrazo Health System in Phoenix, part of Tenet.

4. Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed tertiary acute-care facility.
