Mercy Health selects Ken James as interim CEO of 2 hospitals

Cincinnati-based Mercy Health named Ken James interim CEO of Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati and Clermont Hospital in Batavia, Ohio, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

Mr. James is taking over as interim leader of the two hospitals, following Jeff Graham's departure. Mr. Graham, who served as president and CEO of Mercy Health's east market, is leaving to take on the top position at Chillicothe, Ohio-based Adena Health System. Mercy Health's east market includes the two hospitals, in addition to other facilities.

Mr. James served as president of Clermont Hospital since December 2016. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at numerous organizations, including CEO of Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tenn., and market CEO of Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Regional Medical Center.

Mr. James holds a master's degree in industrial/organization management from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, according to the report.
