DeKalb Health taps Tasha Eicher as 1st female CEO: 6 things to know

DeKalb Health in Auburn, Ind., dropped the ‘interim’ from CEO Tasha Eicher’s title, effective March 16.

Here are six things to know:

1. Ms. Eicher served as interim CEO since Jan. 1.

2. She is 56-bed hospital’s first female CEO.

3. She formerly served as vice president of physician services, strategy and development at DeKalb Health.

4. Her prior experience includes serving as operating room business director and director of clinical operations at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

5. She holds an MBA from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City.

6. Ms. Eicher succeeds Craig Polkow, who resigned Dec. 31.
