D.C.’s Providence Hospital Names Dr. Raymond Cox CMO

Raymond L. Cox, MD, has been named CMO of Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C., according to a hospital news release.

In addition to CMO, Dr. Cox will also serve the hospital as senior vice president of medical affairs. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and most recently served as chair of the Maryland Patient Safety Center Perinatal Collaborative and chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.

He also currently serves on the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Committee for the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and was recently appointed to the Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality by HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
