CoxHealth names new VP of human resources: 4 things to know

Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth has named Rick Roche vice president of human resources, effective Sept. 28, according to a Springfield News-Leader report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Roche.

1. Mr. Roche replaces John Hursh, who retired earlier this summer.

2. He has extensive leadership experience in human resources. He is currently chief human resources and support services officer for Health Care District of Palm Beach County in Palm Springs, Fla. Before that, he served in senior human resources leadership positions at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., University Health Care System in Augusta, Ga., and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

3. Mr. Roche earned a bachelor’s degree from Cincinnati-based Xavier University, a master’s degree in management from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., and a certification in executive healthcare management from Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University.

4. Outside of healthcare, Mr. Roche served in the U.S. Navy.
