Here are four things to know:
1. Mr. Gillespie is currently the hospital’s COO. He will take over as CEO Dec. 3.
2. He joined Connally Memorial in 2005, becoming COO in 2015.
3. He has prior experience in the U.S. Air Force, the CDC and the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center in San Antonio.
4. Mr. Gillespie succeeds Jeremy Riney, who resigned in October.
