1. Most recently, Dr. DeLeon served as program director of family medicine in Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente’s San Diego region.
2. This year, he won the California Academy of Family Physicians Foundation’s Barbara Harris Award Winner for Educational Excellence.
3. In his new role, Dr. DeLeon will oversee Cone Health’s medical residency and fellowship programs as well as research and the Greensboro Area Health Education Center, a regional health education center located on the campus of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. The center is affiliated with the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers Program of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill.
