Concord Hospital taps Dr. Matthew Gibb as its first chief clinical officer

Concord (N.H.) Hospital hired Matthew Gibb, MD, to serve as its first chief clinical officer in late September.

Dr. Gibb most recently served as executive vice president and system CMO at Carle Health System, a three-hospital system in Urbana, Ill. He is a former U.S. Navy flight surgeon and is trained in internal medicine and cardiology.

He will succeed David Green, MD, who retired after serving as the hospital’s CMO.

As chief clinical officer, Dr. Gibb will oversee and develop strategies to grow and improve the hospital’s clinical and patient care activities. He will also serve as a practicing physician at the hospital.
