Indianapolis-based Community Health Network has appointed Dave Hyatt as regional president of the South region and Dan Parod as regional president of the Northeast region.

Four things to know:

1. Mr. Hyatt will oversee the South region, which includes Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, and Mr. Parod will oversee the Northeast region, which includes Community Hospital Anderson (Ind.), according to an April 29 health system news release.

2. Mr. Hyatt brings nearly 20 years of healthcare leadership experience and most recently served as president and CEO of Noblesville, Ind.-based Riverview Health. Mr. Parod most recently served as president of the Central region for Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis.

3. Both leaders will join a team that includes the Central and Northwest region presidents and is led by Beth Tharp, BSN, RN, president of hospital services and chief nursing officer. Regional presidents work closely with hospital and network leaders to drive care access, quality outcomes and long-term growth, the release said.

4. The regional leadership model allows the system to maintain strong hospital-level leadership while adding a stronger focus on regional strategy and community engagement, COO Jason Fahrlander said in the release.
