Colorado system CEO to retire

Dave Ressler, CEO of Aspen (Colo.) Valley Health, plans to retire in 2026, according to a July 2 letter published on the health system’s website.

Mr. Ressler has spent 18 of his 30 years in healthcare with Aspen Valley Health, The Aspen Times reported July 2. He served as CEO from 2004 to 2013, and returned in 2016.

During his time away, he helped launch Community Care Alliance, a management company owned by Aspen Valley and other region hospitals, according to the report. Before joining Aspen Valley, Mr. Ressler was CEO of Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Regional Health Center for four years, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Aspen Valley Health includes a critical access hospital, level 3 trauma center and several clinics.
