Grand Junction, Colo.-based Western Healthcare Alliance has hired Ginette Sebenaler as CFO of the rural hospital alliance and its family of companies.
Ms. Sebenaler will oversee all financial functions across the organization, according to a Sept. 24 Western Healthcare Alliance news release. She will develop strategies to expand the alliance’s impact for its rural members and clients.
She owns Key CFO Solutions, a firm that provides CFO services to healthcare organizations. Before founding the firm, she spent 16 years at Aspen (Colo.) Valley Hospital, joining as controller in 2004 and later becoming CFO. There, she helped stabilize the hospital’s finances, guided it through the COVID-19 pandemic and led the financial side of its standalone Epic EHR adoption.
Ms. Sebenaler cited group purchasing, value-based contracting and revenue recovery as the ways WHA helps independent hospitals thrive, and said her goal is a sustainable, transparent financial foundation.
A group of rural Colorado hospitals founded WHA in 1989, and it now serves members across Colorado, Utah and Michigan. The Community Care Alliance, which WHA formed in 2015, has grown into a clinically and financially integrated network focused on value-based contracts.
