Cleveland Clinic Announces 8 Leadership Changes

Cleveland Clinic announced eight leadership changes in several of its community hospitals and its Regional Executive Administration, which oversees its eight regional hospitals in Ohio.  

In addition, Cleveland Clinic's Regional Operations, which includes 27 ambulatory locations and 12 family health centers, will now be part of the Regional Executive Administration under David L. Bronson, MD, who serves as president.

The leadership changes include:

1. Catherine Keating, MD, will become the associate chief of staff responsible for implementing the clinical integration model across Cleveland Clinic. She will also serve as new associate chief of staff for the Quality Alliance/Community Physician Partnership. Dr. Keating most recently served as chief of Regional Hospitals Medical Affairs and Quality in the Regional Executive Administration.
2. Brian Donley, MD, will become chief of Regional Hospitals Medical Affairs and Quality and vice president of Regional Hospitals in the Regional Executive Administration. He most recently served as president of Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland.
3. Donald Malone, MD, will serve as president of Lutheran Hospital. He is currently chairman of the department of psychiatry and psychology and director of the Center for Behavioral Health in Cleveland, and he will continue in these roles.
4. Brian Harte, MD, will serve as president of Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. He most recently served as president of South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Dr. Harte will succeed Jeff Leimgruber, who is leaving.
5. Robert Juhasz, DO, will serve as president of South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Dr. Juhasz most recently served as medical director for Cleveland Clinic's Willoughby Hills (Ohio) Family Health Center.
6. Jan Murphy, will become COO of Sheikh Kalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She most recently served as president of Fairview Hospital in Cleveland.
7. Neil Smith, DO, will serve as president of Fairview Hospital in Cleveland. Dr. Smith most recently served as vice president of medical affairs at Fairview Hospital.
8. J. Stephen Jones, MD, will serve as chief of Regional Hospital Surgical Operations. He currently serves as chief of surgical operations at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, and he will continue in his current role.

These changes will take effect on Sept. 1.
