Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center CEO to resign: 3 takeaways

Nathan Howell, president and CEO of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, N.Y., is resigning for a new job opportunity, effective May 11, according to a Watertown Daily Times report.

Here are three takeaways:

1. Mr. Howell is leaving to take on the CEO role at Biddeford-based Southern Maine Health Care.

2. He has served in the top post at Claxton-Hepburn for the last three and a half years.

3. The hospital "made many positive improvements," during Mr. Howell's tenure, a hospital spokesperson said in a statement obtained by the Watertown Daily Times.
